So here is my situation:

-Steam copies of the purchased ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead and the free ARMA 2 demo

-Made a @DayZ folder in the A2OA file in the steam program files and an Addons folder within that

-Copied all links from http://armafiles.info/dayz/ and extracted all .rar files into the addons folder and only the addons folder in the order they are listed

-Right click ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead on Steam and click "Launch ARMA2: Combined Operations"

-Gave runs but once I try to join a room I get told I can't because the room is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.chernarus.

I don't honestly know if this has been brought up and I will look if it has but I wanted to get this out there in the meantime.

Install the Arma 2 free, not a demo :) Then it should work fine

Use this one: http://www.arma2.com/free

and once you install that one, copy it's 'Addons' folder into your steam OA folder, the same folder that your @dayz folder resides in. It fixed it for me.

On steam, if you search ARMA 2 Free, it'll go to the ARMA 2 page and you install the demo.

Then you copy the addons from that to ARMA 2 OA

Arma2 OA already has an Addons folder, and there can't be two folder in OA with the same name. Should the Arma 2 free Addons folder be renamed?
