I think when you start a game up you should have at least a melee weapon. Like a Knife or even a swiss army knife that you could use to open tins with.

When a zombie invasion comes to your country you can't expect someone to say " oh its okay i will just take a flash light with no batteries" at least arm them with a knife or like a baseball bat.
