Help! is my M16 gone forever?

I saw a vid on youtube of a player putting their rifle in their Alice bag. I had 4 slots so tried to see if it would fit. It vanished from my gear screen and the ammo appeared in my bag. I can't see it on the floor.. :( is it gone?

Also, can I stored my rifle in my alice bag or not? It would appear not. :(

hmm maybe gone, i was under the impression rifles take 10 slots pistols 5 slots in your backpack..

it's gone , it is a bug I believe but anything u try to put in ur bag while u don't have slots for it will dissapear.

and yes main weapons(a.k.a sniper/assault rifles etc.) take 10 slots and off-hand(pistols) 5 slots

s'ok, I found an AK earlier not far from where I was when I lost my M16. Heading back there now.

Items regularly get lost in your bag if you have a female character :-D

Seriously - this is just a bug. Always have enough inventory slots open in your backpack (count is mentioned above). Also always move weapons out of backpack to your inventory, not the other way around.
