black screen after some play time

[Hobo with a Shotgun 0]

I get a Black screen after a few minutes playing and the only thing i see is my cursor wich i can still move but nothing happens when i press Esc.

what can i do to fix this?

I already reinstalled Arma 2 + operation arrowhead.

(i own the steam version)

Edit:

i start it with the six updater

i just use the patches from steam and the sixupdater

i have windows 7 64 bit

an Intel core i7 Cpu dual core 2.80Ghz

6 GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460

it seems like the menu opens and closes when i press ESC

Is it stuck on the loading screen? Or do you actually see some stuff on the server then black?

Ah, hm that i don't know then. Ive only read that people have fiddled with their graphics cards and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Still have this problem.

it just appears in DayZ, other games i can play without problems

Hold "left shift" then press numpad minus (-) release both buttons same time.

Then type

flush

Be sure its numpad minus. The - next to your 0 button doesnt work.

You will not see a command line so be sure to spell correctly.

This will flush your graphics card memory while in game.

If this temp. fix helps, than try changing video memory settings in game options. Default seems to give least problems.
