External HDD Use

I was able to get this MOD to work on my laptop that has Steam directly installed to its own HDD. I wanted to play it on my desktop as it is a better computer and all of my games, plus Steam, are saved to an external HDD that is plugged in and played from there. I noticed when I copied over the files and installed the game and tried to run it it seemed it could not locate the files. Is it possible that this game has to be set to the desktop's HDD?

UPDATE: Nevermind, it worked through the Auto Installer.

steam is not in your registry on windows. and you need to reinstall steam fresh.

but you can cut the common file on steam and save it somewhere. and reinstall steam on your HDD. later on you should be able to replace the new common file and get all your game settings and games.

Ive done this once and it worked. so I dont know if its going to work again :P

I can play all of my games from my external HDD. This mod doesn't seem to work from it though and I'm wondering if anyone else has it set up this way or if it just doesn't work.
