Changing profile name

If I create a new profile in Combined Operations (for the purpose of changing my name) will it delete my current player and make me a fresh spawn?

afaik it'll just change your name, your player-ID will be the same.

I have done this and no it doesnt delete you DayZ character just changes the name. Note this means you cant make 2 arma profiles and have 2 Dayz characters as they link to each other

your character is bound to your cd key - not to your profile.

so yes, by creating a new profile you can change your name/look not gender tho (also keep in mind that the face of female chars cannot be changed.
