Server response forest/ Debug forest

I've been to several servers attempting to join the game. After the "Waiting for server response" message I get taken to the debug forest where I can't move and see some green indicator diamonds. Will I eventually move from this forest to the actual game or is it a dead end? Been waiting for >30min.
