Hey admins, not to confuz you guys. I love that you take your time and money to host a DayZ server for us players. Much appreciated :heart:

But there is a majority of you, who restart servers when everything is absolutely fine. Which can be a problem for those who ride vehicles etc.

But I understand sometimes it is needed, unless it just does it by itself.

It would be nice to have atleast 30seconds to 1 minute to prepare for a restart. 5-15 would also be nice. But if you have restart schedule, please have a rolling motd if possible. of restarts hours and timezone. :blush:

When one travels with vehicles etc one might lose them to a restart, and one might have to trace ones steps. And also, one can spawn where you were at the restart without the vehicle.

This can be troubling for players who have been riding choppers, boats. But mostly land vehicles.

So the tl;dr= Please give players a heads up and some time to prepare for restarts.

I give a 1 minute or 30 seconds sometimes a small 10 sec count down to a restart but this morning hacker was screwing with my server so I shut it down instantly.

That is completely understandable : )

But I've had it with random restarts when one has spent hours looking for vehicles etc : ) I've lost a UAZ, Heli, boat and a GAZ to restarts... :/

Yeah, unless something goes terribly wrong, I will always give some notice in advance. I can definitely see where you're coming from and how annoying it can get. Next restart, my MOTD will contain the times at which the server restarts regularly.

Our server counts down from 15 minutes, then ten, then gives a five minute warning.
