kiotie 23 Posted July 7, 2012 People must really not understand what being an admin entails. Being an admin means you maintain the server - kick any hackers, etc. Admins should have high standards and expectations. It makes me somewhat angry to see so many posts about admin abuse and kicking for the wrong reasons. Anyways, I'd like to recognize all those admins who do the right thing. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the community! I feel you guys don't get enough thanks for what you do.Thanks again!

fenrix 9 Posted July 8, 2012 Admins are supposed to run servers for a community of players not themselves and thier buddies.Need an official dayz admin code of conduct and agreement imo if you want to make sure all admins with admin access on any server know thier rights.when I grant rights I always give my admins a list of rules on what they can and cannot do and then give them a trial run for about a week where I watch them stealthily before I allow them to admin when Im not looking.thats what server owners need to do.you cannot trust your regular community members not to be retards. admins really need to be over 18 imo. I mean its silly but once your over 18 you generally have a little more up top when it comes to being sensible.on top of that any server owner needs to maintain a point of contact with the community on a games official forums to address issues that crop up there rather than just ignoring them or hanging on your own forums.if you rely on your admins word of mouth for info and one of them is getting complaints. chances are you will never hear about it.
