Error Creating Direct3D 9 Graphical Engine

Recommended Posts

Alright guys like the subject says. I keep getting the error when I launch DayZ from Six Launcher. I can however play the game just fine going through Steam (ver 1.6) I'd like to play through Six Launcher so I can have latest version. I have the Arma 2 Free version and bought the OA expansion. (downloaded both through Steam)

I also used this reference to install the game.

It also says this when I start up Six Launcher:

" Please note: the beta is enabled, either automatically or in the Options, but you also have the Steam Launcher enabled. This requires manual intervention, please see https://dev-heaven.net/issues/32058#note-2 "

If anyone can explain how to resolve it in as simple as possible way would be great. Thanks

If it is updating but not running through Launcher, and you can run it fine through Steam, I wouldn't muck around with it.

Bookmark http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php to see when new patches come out, or just run Launcher once a day. Same thing for the mod files.

The beta patch includes a new executable, and you MUST use the new executable. For the life of me I cannot imagine how Launcher could update and patch, but then not use the new files, but I reinstalled and got this error today after patching OA, and running the old executable.

I THINK it has something to do with the Steam overlay interfacing with the ganm's graphics. Not a programmer, however.
