itz-LoKi 3 Posted February 14 I'm suggesting something that yall may not agree with but there's no shame in putting the idea out there, please comment with any feedback yall have STATIC INDUSTRIAL MACHINES: I had an idea to add something like an industrial belt sander which could act as a sharpening stone for tools and weapons. This could prove useful but also to over powered. These machines would be located in specific industrial warehouses located in lower tier areas. I say lower tier in order to minimize the ability for large groups to take over the building, build a massive base, and still be close to high tier loot. Now obviously these machines would need gasoline to run and maybe a spark plug or battery, or maybe you would need a generator and cable reel in order to power it on, which would give greater importance to the generators. An item could be added such as sanding belts in order to make the machine have decay like normal tools only it would last much longer than a sharpening stone, once your sanding belt is ruined you need to equip a new one on the machine. PROS: Not as much running and searching for those hard to find when you need em sharpening stones. Safer when building a base due to not having to leave and search for new tools or sharpening stones. More technical game play introduced through having to find the means to use the machine, making the adventure of dayz even more in depth. CONS: Gives smart players and big groups the ability to put down large bases without having to spam sharpening stones. Would most likely need a vehicle in order to set the machine up properly with a generator and gas. It's gonna be loud, sounds of metal being sharpened and a generator blasting.
