The airfield is on fire?

Hey guys!

Ok, here is how the story goes:

I had just arrived back from my rugby training and I logged onto my usual server. I was at the airfield at the top right of the map. I looked across the fields and into the airbase where I saw a man, looting dead player bodies. Of course, me having a sniper I went to gun him down because it was evident that he was a bandit. I shot at him from a distance, maybe 700M's and missed because I rushed. He ran into one of the hangers and I waited for about 1 minute. After that he came running from the hanger and to a chopper I did not notice before, he got in it and started the engines. I fired at the chopper repeatedly and when he took off ( he clearly didn't know how to drive it ) he sent the chopper down into the floor, thus making it blowing up. My first reaction was laughter, I found it fucking hilarious don't ask me why, I just did. I went down and looted his body, it was pretty much shit. I went across to loot the bodies he killed and some zombies began chasing me. I ran the way I came without looking back. Then, I turned around and killed the zombies and what I saw in the background shocked me. I was like, "DAFUCK" - I'm not sure if this is normal, but what the fuck?

Do you recon it will kill me if I go in? :D

PS. The dude in chat, Mr.Glowsticks claimed he could see it from where he was ( Didn't state where though )

Dont worry, it's a bug already known by many Arma 2 players.

It will not kill you. Didnt see the fires on DayZ but i know them well from GITS Evolution Mod (lots of damaged vehicles, if you reloggin you migth get that flames). It has something to do with the chopper. Just restart your game and it should be gone.

It wont hurt a hacker might have spawned a heli or jet and failed at takoff/landing and went boom
