Do zombies close doors?

I saw the door to a shed close and I almost shit myself thinking it was another player, but all I could find inside were zombies.

Do they close doors behind them? Why so polite?

I had a zombie start to chase after me once while it was inside a shed and it closed the door on itself and lost aggro. Shrugged it off and kept going.

My experience is they shut the door then walk through it.

All zombies are hackers, hit you through walls and run through closed doors.
