Tribute to Edson Wander, the survivor we will never forget

We were a group of friends who loved playing Dayz. In our group, we made several friends, some of whom were me (I DANN I), TanakaRBP, EuSouCrack, Will, and finally, our great Edson.Wander, who will always be eternal in our hearts.

We met 1 year ago playing Dayz. I remember that I was lost on the map until he found me and took me to his base where other survivors were (the rest of our friends). When we got there, I liked all of them and ended up playing with them every day. Little did I know that a great friendship would be born between us all. And so it happened. For 1 year, every day we would come home from work and turn on the computer for another journey in our favorite game: Dayz.
Of all of us, Edson.Wander was the most passionate about the game. He would always send us messages asking us to join the game, because he liked to see us all together. Out of everyone there, he was the one who had played Dayz the most (over 1000 hours). He really loved the game, and he also loved the friendship we had. It wasn't just a computer game. Most of the time, we got together not just to play, but to talk, let off steam, and give advice to our friend who was going through a tough time in real life, Edson. Wander always had good advice because he was the oldest of us (29 years old), he was married and recently had a son who is now 8 months old. He had a huge heart and always tried to help us all (in and out of the game). In Dayz, Edson wasn't very skilled with weapons, so he preferred to stay away, observing enemies from afar with binoculars and passing information to the rest of the group. He also liked to attack other survivors' bases using grenades. Whenever he found a lockpick, he would lock every door he saw. I've lost count of how many times he stepped on a land mine, how many times he died from zombies, but what really mattered to him was having fun...
Due to health reasons, Edson.Wander had a sudden stroke, was hospitalized for a few days fighting for his life and unfortunately passed away today, January 12, 2025, leaving behind his son and wife. We, his friends, are shaken at this moment and would like to ask you at Bohemia to, if possible, pay tribute to our hero so that he can be immortalized within the game that was his favorite pastime, where we had many happy moments together. He would be very happy to know that you paid tribute so that he will never be forgotten. If possible, I would like to ask that you place a tombstone in Severograd with binoculars and a lockpick next to it, since those were the items he always had in his backpack. We would be very grateful if you would do this favor. Thank you in advance for your attention.

sounds like one of those guys that does the big job and makes a faction go round and round, teaching people the game and organizing

i always admire those guys when i have them around because i can never seem to fill those shoes myself. sorry for your loss, try to take his place in his honour and pay it forward.
