I’d like to propose an improvement to the wooden crate system, adding more depth to base-building and inventory management while preserving the balance and challenge that define DayZ. Currently, players can craft a wooden crate with 50 slots using 8 wooden planks and 18 nails. With this suggestion, players would have the option to expand the crate's capacity to 120 slots by combining it with another crate. (the crates need be empty) However, to maintain balance and realism: Expanded crates cannot be carried. Once combined, the larger crate becomes stationary, requiring players to carefully plan and choose the best location for it. This feature encourages strategic decision-making, as players must weigh the benefits of extra storage against the limitations of immobility. This expansion option would provide more utility for players who prioritize base-building and resource hoarding while ensuring that the mechanics remain grounded and balanced. It also adds a new layer of gameplay, as protecting and securing an expanded crate becomes a crucial part of survival. Thank you for considering this suggestion!
