Can't Play Day Z

So, I'm trying to play this mod, and I can't get into any servers. Well, I can but I can't.

It lets me get into the initial lobby, I click okay, load mission files correctly, and then the game takes me through a loading screen.

I get into another lobby looking screen, and I start to retrieve files from the server, but as soon as it's about to finish loading, it kicks me out of the game and returns me to thje main menu of Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead.

The first time I tried joining it told me something about Bin configuration and weapons, I couldn't really read it.

Is the game and mod fully updated? including the beta patch for arma 2?

what method did you use to get the game? Steam, greenman gaming, retail, etc

Are you using six updater?

To me it sounds like you don't have everything configured correctly so when you log in the game kicks you out due to something not being right.

Lots of reasons why this could be happening.

Are you running the beta patch?

Did you install Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead correctly?

I got Arma CO from Steam (I had to deal with the whole pixel shader thing already)

I'm not sure if Dayz is updated

I am pretty sure I have the six Updater, I got it from this websites download page

And I don't know if I'm in the BETA patch at all. How would I tell or get it?

Yeah sounds like incorrect beta patch. Just google arma 2 beta patch install instructions (its pretty simple)

Also make sure you have all your command prompts written correctly.

On the right hand of your main screen when you fire up arma 2 does it say @dayz on the righthand side?

If those steps don't work reinstall the dayz files sometimes they can be corrupted (happened to my roommate)

Okay. Is it going to be the latest Beta patch?

Also, the weapon error came up again.

Weapon and other small errors happen all the time, just press okay and continue playing.

use the newest one it will have more bug fixes than previous builds.

If your trying to launch ArmA II + Beta + DayZ through Steam, then you better read this...

Otherwise launch the beta through the executible shortcut on your desktop without Steam, enable DayZ through the Expansions submenu if its not already, then enjoy being murdered.
