Playing on 2 Computers - Sync?

If I play on 2 different computers, not at the same time, say I take my laptop to a friends house. Will I get the same person? Also, does it run the possibility of corrupting my person?

As long as you have different copies of the game you will not have the same person. Characters are saved to the CD-Key you use. But there is always a problem with joining a same server when you are both using the same IP and Port. Go to this thread to help you with that:

If you use Steam you only need 1 Copy, but only 1 Steam Login can be active at a time.
