Sputnik (DayZ) 5 Posted July 7, 2012 Hello everyone :)I have noticed that the longer i play, the worst performance gets. Normally i get 60fps and i use VSYNC, with time FPS drops along with the GPU usage! FPS could drop as low as 10-15 and GPU usage drops to 15% usage. When i abort and restart at the same location, FPS and GPU usage gets back to normal! Any fix for that?My system:Windows 7 64biti7-930 @4.2Ghzx2 evga GTX580 in SLI 3GBevga x58 e758 motherboardmushkin RedLine DDR3 6GB RAMOCZ Vertex 2 120GB SSD

Sputnik (DayZ) 5 Posted July 7, 2012 illegal copies may degrade ?Mine is a Steam version' date=' which i bought recently :) Get a server with a better ping.I always join servers with low ping, 30 the most! Can a server lag reflect your systems performance, anyway?
funionz 7 Posted July 7, 2012 Mine does the same thing, even on servers with a 19-25 ping. Gotta consistently relog to maintain performance, gotta be a memory leak of some kind.

Can a server lag reflect your systems performance, anyway?yes to the second question. And its not just the servers ping. the servers overall power effects your clients performance.erm think of it like this:-You have a 2 core server near you that gives you a 19 pingand a 16 core server not so near you that gives a 70 pingthe best server for you is the 70 ping server cause the servers power far outweighs the ping gain When its arma anyway. Some missions like DayZ, Warfare, MSO require far more CPU and RAM than any-other MOD or game out there atm.and the server FPS directly reflects on the clients fps
Arnie (DayZ) 21 Posted July 7, 2012 Experiencing the same. Exit / restart game helps me.
sixbarns 217 Posted July 7, 2012 I only really notice this after I die and respawn on the beach. When I look at my task manager the game is eating up massive resources. I quit and restart the game and the problem goes away.
