Sent to Arma 2 main menu screen

Hey everyone, I'm trying to help out my brother.

He is running the game through Six Launcher (just like me). We both bought Arma 2 CO on Steam.

We open up Six Updater and get to the server list. We both double click on the same available server with lots of open slots.

The white boxes show and a few screens load up and we both get taken to the Multiplayer Setup screen.

We both click "Ok" and the loading screen with the tanks show up.

Here's where we go different ways:

For me, I get taken straight into the game. For my brother, he goes into the Arma 2 main menu screen.

How can we get him into the game?!?!

I have the same exact problem, and it's getting tedious seeing how the only reason i bought ARMA II CO was FOR DAYZ... haha. I dont know what is going on though... i get sent to the lobby, hit ok to connect, wait through a loading screen, then i see in-game for about 2 seconds, then another loading screen occurs out of nowhere and i get sent back to the ARMA 2 OA main menu to play multiplayer, single player, or to change your options and such.

On the first menu screen, what VERSION do you have? Bottom right corner. Should be 1.60.94444.

Launcher never worked right for me so I do this all manually. I don't know if Launcher will automatically update your beta patch. If not, check out:

Additionally, under the logo in the top right, you should have a small list of things. Mine is:

- arma 2

- @dayz

- beta

- Expansion

If you do not have all those, the parameters being passed to your executable are missing something. I do not KNOW that the Expansion one is required, but it showed up when I first installed the beta patch.

Yeah, he has all of those. The current beta patch and that list of small things are all there.
