New player questions?

Hi,

6 hours play time so far and loving this mod but I have a few questions if anyone can help?

Firstly, I have Arma CO via Steam, Is it possible to change my displayed user name in the mod? Currently, it displays my full name that I use IRL. Would rather use my on line name for obvious reasons! Plus, playing as a female skin (Think you may be less likely to shoot first! :P) my real name gives the game away!!

Secondly, I've died a few times but eventually my current char has found a double barrelled shottie, I only have 4 rounds but I also have a hatchet. I don't seem able to equip the hatchet for silent Zombie killing? Any tips?

Finally, I pick everything up that seems useful and my strat is that if I come across something better, I drop a less useful item. These seem to disappear? Is this right? suppose I didn't need the razor wire & tool kit anyway! :P

1) Name: in the main menu (ingame) is a profile button: click that and create a new profile with the name you want to have. (Note: this will not create a new character it will change the name and appearance of your existing character. You can have only 1 character at any given time (unless you buy multiple copies of the game)).

2) Female chars: currently female characters are at a disadvantage as they cannot wear ghillie/camo outfits and you cant change their skincolor to something that is harder to spot in the woods/fields.

3) Hatchet: by default it is on your toolbelt - if you want to use it as a weapon you need to equip it as your primary (rightclick on the hatchet icon and choose the appropriate option) - however in your case that would mean that your shotgun would need to go elsewhere in your inventory (primary weapons require 10 slots (w/o ammo). You do not need to equip it to gather firewood - you just need to have 2 free slots for the wood.

(additional info: secondary weapons need 5 slots (w/o ammo) in case you want to equip your flashlight)

4) dropped items should stay where you dropped them (sometime they glitch due to uneven terrain and similar stuff)

5) never drop anything from your toolbelt (last 2 lines of your inventory) as those are esentially "free" itemslots that you cant put other stuff in anyways.
