I got your cure:

1. Find any bumblefuck location you want with your tent.

2. Crouch, look at ground in front of you

3. Open gear menu and attempt to place tent: it was fail

4. Keep gear menu open and tap your "S" key to move back a tiny step

5. Attempt to place tent again

6. Repeat 4-5 about 10 times

Your tent will be placed, literally anywhere. Be careful, sometimes if you pack it you won't be able to pick it up
