Antipop (DayZ) 37 Posted May 9, 2012 Well' date=' I've been waiting on a reply since this morning from the Dev Team about paying to host a server for the clan that I just started. But, if anyone here knows, where is the best place to look for a DayZ compatible server? I really have no knowledge of the subject, I'm just willing to drop the cash to get another server up and running. Any help would be greatly appreciated.[/quote']How many slots are you after and how much are you willing to pay monthly?I can get one together that's in the US, can host 35 slots for $25 a month.@ Griff, there's no way in the world a server is powerful enough to run more than max 120 players. And that would have to be a crazy server with 2x Xeon Eight Core (16 Threads), 10GB DDR3 (Ram is not a big issue with ArmA), SSD etc. Which would cost a hell of alot. The CPUs alone are $2k each. Plus it would probably become unstable. Unfortunately ArmA servers are quite big resource hungry, and even the best servers crumple at the knees.
CraveMode (DayZ) 2 Posted May 9, 2012 I have switched our clan's BF3 64 slot ranked server over to Arma2:CO 50 slot just for DayZ. I am in the process of setting it up and it is hosted in Dallas by NFOservers.com with high cpu priority.

But I want 50 slots, and the fastest server I can possibly find close to Boston or New York.
CraveMode (DayZ) 2 Posted May 9, 2012 It was a 64 slot, I set it down to 50 as that is the most I have seen. I have to wait for a response from the devs and see if it is possible to host the mod on nfoservers.
