What is the quickest way to change backpack

All in the title, not sure if my ways is good... open the loot where the new (empty pack is)... drop mine... take newest... then open new pack and transfer the old stuff on it. Any best way?

I would do this. There are occasions where the backpack which you drop falls through the floor and you cannot loot it, so it is always best to empty it before you drop it.

I would do this. There are occasions where the backpack which you drop falls through the floor and you cannot loot it, so it is always best to empty it before you drop it.

I remember the first time I made the mistake of picking up an Alice pack and dropping a full pack load of mags, meat and morphine that decided to disappear from the face of Cherno before my eyes :(

Def do as the previous poster said - open pack you want to pick up, tranx your stash to the new pack THEN pick it up. Hearts wont be broken this way.
