MasterJenno 0 Posted June 12, 2024 Hi all Ive been trying out playing DayZ through Geforce Now. Must admit the game runs amazingly, and having to redownload mods are a pain, but survivable. However, what is not survivable is the blurriness. It is next to impossible to dissern any details especially in the far distance and around trees, grass, bushes etc. It is very very noticeable, and ruins what would otherwise be an incredible experience. Getting back on track, I can see that this "blurriness" issue is mentioned in many places and online review of DayZ on cloud gaming. From what I understand, it seems to be a compression vs. anti aliasing issue. This more or less leaves the game unplayable, as it is next to impossible to dissern people from bushes/trees etc. It should be said that I have the absolutely best conditions for cloud gaming in terms of hardware and network connections. So, dear fellow survivors, I ask you - why is DayZ so incredibly worse compared to other titles - such as CSGO? And even more importantly, is there any way to mitigate this? People usually suggest using different types of AA etc., but this is of course slightly restricted within the DayZ menu. Hope that some of you may have a better technical understanding that me and may be able to shed some light on whats going on.
rivacom 1 Posted February 4 Did you ever find a resolution to this? Even if I max Bitrate, and turn off adjust for slow network it's still a blurry mess on extreme settings 1440p.
vadowe 1 Posted February 13 (edited) Anti-Aliasing helps smooth out the edges of objects in-game, but if the anti-aliasing used in DayZ is not well optimized for high-definition environments, it can produce a blurry effect.
