If you load ur pc and go straight on Dayz after your comps been off a few hours atleast does it start lagging straight away or after time, if it's the latter then it could be overheating

Usually if I overheat my pc will power down, never had an fps problem like this.

Oh I forgot to mention, It happens regardless of my settings very high or very low, and on any resolution.

And the lag only occures for about 10 seconds then my fps goes back to normal.(then back down after a minute, and repeats)

Use Open Hardware Monitor or RealTemp to record temperatures before, during, and after playing the game.

Just ran a few test

Singleplayer- 60FPS no spikes

Multiplayer(non dayz) - 44-50 FPS

Multiplayer(dayz) - 8-55 FPS

So it seems to be something in dayz conflicting with me, anyone have an idea.

I have the same exact problem, sadly im using a worse computer, so instead i go from what is a enjoyable time, *Probably 30 fps w/o lag* every ten seconds or so i just freeze, then after a few seconds it goes away, and it just repeats, getting really annoying, and no one's advice has worked yet!

Having the same problem, except with a worse computer. (single player still gets 40+ FPS no problem, though.) I think it's a server side problem, or something with the optimization of DayZ itself. Hopefully it will be better by the next update
