Ratmir-MZ 0 Posted June 4 (edited) The game doesn't go into the privacy section of the microphone. Now on the vastness of the Internet many people are wondering why their microphone in the game stopped receiving voice. After analyzing from night till morning - going through all possible solutions on the Internet and all sorts of personal options, I came to the conclusion that the "microphone privacy" section in Windows 10 is to blame. In this section there is a sub-section "Permission for classic applications" in some players (including me) the game does not get into this list, even though all permissions are enabled and accordingly Windows does not give the game permission to use the microphone. What was done: - Checked and reinstalled GPU and audio drivers. - Reinstalled DayZ. - Selected by default a valid microphone. - In steam settings - also selected a valid microphone. - Tried all connectors PC for microphone. - Changed three headsets and microphones. (Note: in other games and in Discord, Skype, etc. everything works fine) What happens in the game: - In the "Activation by voice" mode, the microphone does not respond to the voice and the voice threshold indicator (volume) does not move from the place. - In the "Activation by pressing" mode, the microphone icon appears, but the players can not hear me. If there will be suggestions to reinstall windows, unfortunately, I can not do it - too many important files on the work they are afraid to lose them. I am asking for help from the community or a developer who would be willing to answer how to solve this problem. Thank you in advance for your interest in solving this problem. eddie_1998-5 0 Posted July 21 Hello Ratmir-MZ, I am also having the same problem, not only on DAYZ, but also Arma. I am able to hear others, yet no one can hear me at all; same exact description down to the "microphone does not respond to the voice and the voice threshold indicator (volume) does not move from the place." This has never happened upon first getting the game(s), however I have switched microphones within the 2 year timeframe I have been on PC in general. I prefer to use HyperX brand headphones, more specifically, HyperX Cloud II. On my first headset, which was the HyperX Cloud Wired, it worked perfectly fine; however, I now own Hyper X Cloud 2 Wireless, and I believe this is when I began to first experience this issue. On the other hand, I have done quite a few system modifications and updates, but I assume that did not affect anything with the microphone. Unfortunately, I do not have any new suggestions, since I have done practically every "common fix," known on the subject and I have not been able to fix the issue. I would really appreciate if anyone in the community can relate and provide an actual solution. My only last option is to switch back to a wired headset to see if that will resolve this problem; I will keep you updated.
