Spawning in Nowhere

*Which method are you using to launch the game? I.E Sixupdater/steam/batch file:

I have tried Sixupdater and ingame.

*What is the Error/Problem you're having? Please provide screenshots if possible:

I am spawning in the middle of nowhere. There are other people sometimes but no one can respond to me. I walk for a few thousand meters and nothing happens. Then I respawn and I go back to the same area. I have also reinstalled the game with sixupdater. What can I do?

RECENTLY INSTALLED:

EVGA GTX 560 DS SSC

700w power supply.

You have to run the game through steam and then right click Arma 2 OA and go to properties and add -name=PROFILE to the -mod@DayZ in launch options and where PROFILE is add your steam profile name. Try adding the games to Steam to be able to do this all too

I have reinstalled Arma 2 combined operations along with DayZ.

Sorry for double post but I fixed it. All I needed was the beta patch. I never needed it before but I do now?

i believe you do need to download it through steam but i may be wrong but thats the only way i know how to run the game sorry
