DayZ Devs adding more hardcore survival aspects to DayZ via additional Medical?

The above chart is just one example of how disease, medicine, surgery, and other medical is coming into DayZ soon. The Devs have already announced that adding Medical will be a part of the future of the game, and Hardcore Survival has become very popular in the DayZ community.

Are you excited about the change or do you hate it?

The current Siberian Mod does a few things to make DayZ harder... is this the direction the Devs will take the game after seeing the popularity of hardcore survival skyrocket the games popularity? There are several other medical mods as well, which one offers DayZ the best fit?

First, as mentioned the game has many more serious disease threats like mental illness, Sepsis, as well as deeper food poisoning, concussions, blood issues, surgeries for cuts, bullets, and even hemotomas that can ruin your day. Hospitals and clincs become battle zones for meds and just one more dangerous stop on the road to survival.

Secondly, Zombies are a whole new deal. They can out-punch you, out-run you, and shooting your weapon can bring a horde down on you faster than easy mode vanilla DayZ. You simply have to have a weapon to melee with (and be good at using) and suppressed shots are a must. By the way, Zombies in thisnew mod are also able to crash through doors when they get aggro... so there's that too.

I'm glad the Devs have taken notice of how much better Hardcore Survival and deeper Medical practices make DayZ. To me, after playing hardcore survival for two years going back to vanilla is just so easy mode. I can't wait to see what the Devs do with the upcoming releases and hope to see something really hard come out that surpasses everything out there right now. After over 10,000 hours in game I'm ready for another step up in hardcore DayZ... Bring it on!

LOL. Please don't say that!

Here's the article that gave me hope.

https://www.ginx.tv/en/dayz/roadmap

Some key ideas from it:

"At the time of writing, there has been no official roadmap released for DayZ in 2024; however, we do have some insight into what the developers' focus will be over the next few months, leading to some exciting content on the horizon."

"Additionally, players can expect a "richer variety of wildlife", improvements to terrain tools to support the modding community, and improved survival mechanics including extreme conditions and medical challenges."

"These updates, while small, do provide the building blocks for what we can expect later on, as they usually culminate in a larger surprise at the end of each year."

I will add that it's pretty obvious that the new Medical Mods have led to a huge upswing in the games popularity. Hardcore Survival DayZ is clearly a better game than vanilla DayZ, which used to be the hardcore version of the game. That is no longer than case!
