Procedural Maps on Official

Recommended Posts

I think it would a great addition to the game to have procedurally-generated maps on Official that would add a little variety to the current lineup of maps we all have explored 20 times over.

Part of the fun of the game is the exploration, and being able to explore a completely unknown map every three to six months or so would give the game a huge boost in playability and longevity.

You could limit the map to a certain size (Chernarus-sized or smaller) and keep the same loot parameters for uniformity and manageability.

And, there could be a voting system to keep the most popular / most used maps in perpetuity that could eventually be optioned in Community.

Good maps would be fun, and even bad maps would be considered a challenge / amusement until they are sunset after three to six months.

Hope this is considered down the line!

Seems like you have no idea how maps for DayZ are made. Not possible to have procedural maps ;]
