STEAMLAYERWRAP.DLL ERROR HELPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just redownloaded the game and im having all kinds of issues the game will not open with the app shortcut i have to open steam then select in a box ''open day z client'' if i select play day z it gives me a error instantly and says ''unexpected error occured could not load file or assembly 'steamlayerwarp.dll' or one of its dependencies, the specific module could not be found.. how the f can i fix this bs im sick of dealing with problem after problem with this game and just want to play with friends is that too much to ask for ? and also zero servers show up when i can actually get into the main menu.

did you buy a new pc by any chance? and did you by any chance recover your files? if so your best chance will be to just factory reset the pc again without recovering and re download dayz

Steam should have fixed this issue a long time ago.. Just use DZSALauncher..

This shite started happening to me and I will be damned if I'm going to reset everything on my pc over a shitty steam file that worked before but just decided to take a shite with the whole SteamLayerWrap.DLL bs..

No Official DayZ Launcher use then, go with the other launcher.. because if this wasn't fixed a long time ago then its never going to be fixed.

 

 

After quick research and testing, I've fixed my problem with the SteamLayerWrap shite.

Guys when you get this shite error, Clear your Steam Cache (You will have to relog back to Steam), REPAIR your Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable Files (x86) and (x64), then restart your pc, thats it.

That's the order I did it.

DayZLauncher should work now, It worked for me and I hope it works for you too! because this shite is still happening years down the line.
