Roaming Hoards!

Recommended Posts

One aspect of DayZ I love are the random encounters with wildlife. You may be walking in Chernarus’ forests or hillside grasslands and encounter Elk, Wolves or Bears. Seeing them often wander closer into towns and villages shows the apocalyptic urban areas being slowly recaptured by nature.

But imagine if the apocalypse crept its way into the wilderness too?

The relative safety you may have felt entering a dense woodland would be shattered if there was a chance you may stumble across 10/15 zombies trudging through the forests of Chernarus, with little to no safety for you to run to (imagine encountering an aggro’d hoard in the dead of night). Maybe a handful of infected could be equipped with hunting or hiking gear? Perhaps dropping more survival equipment than urban Zombie encounters? Like heat packs, hunting knives, canteens or maps.

What do you think?
