SpecFour 12 Posted July 6, 2012 When your run the program from Steam, you need to choose to launch as Combined Ops. That is the bottom of four selections on my system. When the menu for ARMAII comes up, there should be a Version in the bottom left corner. I have a beta patch installed and mine is 1.60.94364. It looks like the latest patch is 94444. I don't know what "regular" ArmaII will be. What is your version?I never had any luck with 6 launcher so I don't use it. I believe it is supposed to install beta for you on its own. I could be wrong. Also on that menu screen, under the ARMAII logo in the top right there should be your expansion or mods. Mine lists:- arma 2- @dayz- Expansion- betaYou should have, at least, all but Expansion. I believe you SHOULD have Expansion also, but I am not positive. If you do not have "beta" you almost certainly do not have the patch.Go here and check out the INSTALLATION links.http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=18588A proper installation consists of, I believe:- Install ARMAII- Run ARMAII as admin- Install Arrowhead- Run Arrowhead as admin- (Run Combined Ops as admin) (Necessary?????)- install beta patch- install modSince I do not use 6 Launcher, I don't know what steps it might replace. In the link to the Steam "Ghost" problem, many people are missing step 2, where you have to replace the executable that runs Combined Ops. That will run the program as non-beta.Many people are skipping step 5, which will result in a failure to load @dayz as a mod.Your mileage may vary.
natedawg (DayZ) 0 Posted July 6, 2012 Thanks for the reply.Originally all I had done was run arma2 CO as admin. upon running arma2 OA, an alert popped up that says "error creating direct3d 9 graphical engine."also when I tried to download the arma2 beta patch it tells me that I have the "WRONG CD KEY"Kk nvm. Even with all this crap it now seems to be working and I am now getting decimated by zombies! Finally! Thank so much!!
