Printaix 3 Posted December 9, 2023 Hello survivors and admins, we are running a server on a dedicated Windows Machine in a data center for a couple of years now. Our server is complete vanilla. No mods. Since the last big update in November 23 we encounter pings going high. Ping shown in Dart Tool and you feel like cars bouncing etc. When there are only a couple of players (5-10), players from server location country had ping 30-50. Now it is 60 - 100 ms. When there are ~30 players, the players from server location country had no significant higher ping. Now it is 100 - 400ms. CPU (4 cores of a 6 core VM), RAM (32GB), SSD and Network (500mbit/s) traffic is never maxed out. On the same machine is a smal teamspeak running and there a player has ping ~20 where on the other hand in DayZ >150. Any ideas or maybe same problems? thx
skydive 2 Posted December 12, 2023 I have been playing and running dayz servers since early in the mod. I still run 5 dayz standalone servers and since the 1.23 update, all of my servers have been suffering game breaking lag. I have tried a few things to mitigate the lag to no avail. My servers have practically unlimited resources to use since I own the hosting company, so there is no shortage that might be the reason. From doing some testing in-game, when I log onto one of my just restarted servers, I can teleport myself to a city and as soon as zombie spawns, loot spawns, etc occur, the server becomes heavily bogged down with just me on the server. My server side FPS reporting goes from 2000-5000 FPS all the way down to 2-5 FPS. As you stated, if you are using a vehicle of any sort, especially helicopters, this just seems to exacerbate the problem significantly since you will trigger spawns at a faster rate over a larger radius. As many posts as I've seen stating the same issues with 1.23, I have not seen anything official from Bohemia regarding this, but that is also status quo. Wish I had a solution for you, but you're certainly not the only one suffering from this problem. 1
