What is AfterlifeRP

We are a community of gamers who enjoy the survival and RP potential of DayZ and many other survival games. We are in the process of shifting from a DayZ RP specific server to a Roleplaying community. We aim to provide a safe, fun and relaxed community for Role Players to let their creative sides fly and inspire some exciting and memorable role play. We run solely through our Discord Community. Our Whitelist process is as simple and streamlined as it can get! All you need to do is read the rules and give us your Steam64 ID. Once you’ve been given your Whitelist Role, you will then be able to create a simple character profile in the Discord. Then your be free to roam the vast wilderness of Deerisle.

Lore

Our lore is based on the science fiction novel Black Sandz: Siege & Desist written by Spyke O’Hanlin.

While Britain was being invaded by the nocturnal Cardinal’s and their toxic creations, the fungal black-bloods, governments of the world that sat across the oceans from the once United Kingdom thought themselves to be safe. Most of the world cut themselves off from Britain and eventually Europe after the black-blood infection spread overseas from Britain to France. The European Union floundered and collapsed and each country sought safety and security inside their own borders doing whatever they deemed necessary to protect their country and their people.

However the infection spread at an alarming rate and in a mere matter of weeks, the leading countries of the European Union had all fallen to the devouring horror of the black-bloods. UMBRA Global Industries, the largest corporation in the world and who was solely responsible for ushering the divided societies of the world into a golden age of science, discovery and enduring human health, assisted Europe in its fight but was eventually forced to retreat after a near total loss of all their assets.

Across the Atlantic Ocean, America was the only country in the world who sought to aid their neighbors. The American government sent entire regiments out around the world to assist countries fighting back against the black-bloods, including the heroic regiment of Alpha Company 3-34, but unfortunately for Great Britain, it was already too late. As far as anyone knew, the island was lost and the Great British people wiped out. The Cardinal’s eventually spread overseas to Europe but they had yet to cross the ocean to America and as a result, the mighty USA thought itself safe; but they couldn’t have been more mistaken.

One month after the black-blood infection had devoured and mutated Britain and most of western Europe, the black-blood infection made its way into the United States of America. It began in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, when an infected cruise ship ran aground in a huge storm spilling out hundreds of humans infected with the fungal black-blood. In a few short days, Maine and surrounding States had fallen and the rest of the country was at the mercy of the unstoppable fungal infection now tightening its grasp around America’s throat. UMBRA Global supported the American military forces and National Guard to the last man, but communication around the country had ceased and it is assumed that all is lost.

It has been six months since America fell to the black-blood’s, the fungal infection continues to spread and mutate and it is here all our journey’s begin. However you ended up on the island, whether you’ve been here the whole time or just washed up on shore, you are here and there is no mainland to go back to. You have survived the black-blood’s thus far, but the cold, terror-filled DayZ and the long Horde-infested nights continue each time you open your eyes.

But there is hope, do not be dismayed; there are little beacons of hope sparking up all around the island. Hope still exists on the shores of Deer Isle and that hope is YOU.
