Console Crossplay

Just as the title says, we should be able to roam the lands with our brothers (or sisters) from the other console. I totally get why PC isn’t included, which is fine. They have mods and whatnot, they’re not a part of this conversation. I want to know why can’t there be cross platform between consoles? I have friends who play on PlayStation (I have a Xbox) that I would love to be able to play DayZ with. So why not? What’s the hold up?

I concur and IMO what makes sense is this:

• Xbox One & One X crossplays with PlayStation 4 & PS 4 Pro
• Xbox Series X|S crossplays with PlayStation 5

This way like performance systems will have equal gaming experiences. Last Gen consoles can’t handle the capabilities of current generation consoles, and they’re holding back things DayZ could be implementing on SeriesX|S and PS5, like better draw distances, physics, HDR and Ray Tracing are all examples.

This pairing makes way more sense than having Last Gens play with Current Gens.
