Inspect Item- not working

I've seen many video's of players being able to inspect an item when its in your hand or inventory, allowing the player to view the item in a bigger separate window and being able to zoom in further and rotate the object. I've read on sites that this feature is mapped to the "Middle mouse button" as standard. I've tried resetting my mapped keys to default, verifying integrity of game files, nothing works, I cannot find any such setting in the key bind settings or any of the game settings. For some reason this feature is not working for me. Anyone know anything about this? or had this problem yourself? Any info would be a great help.
