Our lore begins in the year 2020 with the events that happened on Namalsk from a containment breach of Object A1, creating a nightmare of global events after an attempt to get the research team back to the mainland of Chernarus for urgent medical attention ends in a plane crash. In an attempt from Russia to cover their tracks sending part of the world into blackouts, war breaks out as the west invades Chernarus in search for the cure Russia is believed to be in possession of, with no win in site. Flash forward to the the current year 2023, with the rest of the world shrouded in darkness, Chernarus had become a desolate, eerie place, its once vibrant cities now silent save for the groans of the undead and the occasional military flyovers, bereft of leadership or command. Survivors congregated in colonies, banding together to scavenge amidst cities frozen in time. Trade, a relic of a bygone era, made a resurgence as new communities arose, striving to rekindle a semblance of humanity. Yet, in these trying times, fresh threats emerged alongside the undead. Bands of marauders, eager to seize the path of least resistance, formed their own ruthless factions, preying upon the vulnerable and seizing whatever they could to survive in a world turned unrecognizable.
