Opening and closing doors

I'm watching Dayz videos trying to learn how to play properly. I see players running through doors and the doors seems to close behind them automatically. I assume they are hitting the [F] key as they run through, but I have to stop, turn around, try and make sure I am in the right spot and then I can close the door with the [F] key. What am I doing wrong?

Yep it's just muscle memory of running in at an angle that lets you tap F at the right time!
