Xbox Experimental 1.23 Update 1 - Version 1.23.156797 (Release on 05.10.2023)

A Humble Request to Community

  • Despite our rigorous QA process, given the extensive nature of these changes, we anticipate there may be some unfound bugs or issues. This is where our incredible community comes in! We humbly request that if you come across any quirks or issues, please let us know.   • Characters can now push vehicles
  • Designated marksman rifle (DMR) with 10- and 20-round magazines
  • Field Shovel
  • Padded Gloves
  • Winter Coif
  • OKZK hat

  • Firefighter M3S Wreck
  • The server browser now displays the number of players in the waiting queue
  • Sound for deploying fireplaces and improvised explosives
  • Sounds for crafting rags

  • Overlay elements were still present after accepting an invite to a server
  • Missing control hint to switch the camera position between shoulders
  • Objects behind the player would not always cast shadows from dynamic lights
  • The drain/pour sound could get stuck by jumping during the action

  • The gas stove was playing baking sounds even without food (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T174360)
  • While boiling food, the sound of frying would be played (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T165500)
  • The camera was not following the character correctly when falling unconscious while jumping
  • Throwing in prone when turning could result in the character turning on its stomach
  • Deploying the fishnet trap would spawn it above the water surface
  • Fixed instances of several items not causing stagger when used for heavy melee attacks
  • Shots fired with double-fire would not register properly
  • Godrays from the sun could shine through the horizon
  • Reduced clipping issues with several clothing items
  • Hunting jackets did not have their damaged textures when equipped
  • Jumping while picking up items could result in desync

  • The damaged texture of canned food was even shown on the food inside the cans

  • Items would not get wet when put into a barrel filled with water
  • The watchtower roof would block the selection of other items on the second floor

  • Entering ADS of a weapon with a scope while throwing the weapon could result in a broken HUD

  • When disarming an improvised explosive after a server restart, the explosives inside could not be removed

  • Digging up worms close to objects could cause the character to get stuck (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T157630)
  • Fixed an animation-related exploit to look through walls (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T169133 - private)

  • Certain door sounds in the prison building were too quiet (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T162517)
  • Respawn after dying while in unconscious state would trigger a confirmation request
  • An alarm tied to an improvised explosive would keep ringing after the explosion in certain cases
  • With some optics the view would shift to the right when looking through them (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T172261)
  • Shooting large amounts of bullets indoors would result in sounds being played with delay
  • The image of the pear when held in hands was cropped in the inventory
  • It was not possible to bury a Drybag (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T174739)
  • The clapping gesture was playing the wrong sound when having certain food items in hands
  • The stone oven fire could be extinguished by rain
  • Fixed a config animation path for the BK-133 (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T175263)

CHANGED

  • Major overhaul of the skybox and its textures
  • Reworked the interior of the large castle tower
  • Removed a redundant sound during the gas canister explosion
  • Disabled shadows for fireworks and reduced their light radius to reduce their performance impact
  • Increased maximum bandwidth limits of Client->Server traffic to reduce movement desync when firing weapons
  • Updated the game credits
  • Renamed the fire-mode of the crossbow from semi-auto to single (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T174788)
  • The clutch for the M3S now triggers faster
  • Increased the inertia of the M3S
  • Slightly adjusted the weight of the M1025 Offroad to be able to climb climbing hills
  • Adjusted explosion sounds and ranges

  • Adjusted vehicles for better control on grass

CENTRAL ECONOMY

  • Changed: Reduced the spawning of warm hats to account for newly added items

CHERNARUS

  • Added: Overhead lines for the railway network
  • Changed: Major overhaul for the Vybor Air Base (NWAF)
  • Changed: Moved ASVAL and VSS spawns from contaminated areas to high tier military areas and increased their numbers
  • Changed: Moved VSD and FAL to contaminated area spawns and decreased their numbers
  • Changed: Moved KA74, KA74U and M16A2 to higher military tier spawns

LIVONIA

  • Changed: Base building items can no longer be placed in the Livonia underground
  • Changed: Moved ASVAL and VSS spawns from contaminated areas to high tier military areas and increased their numbers
  • Changed: Moved VSD and Aug from military to contaminated area spawns and decreased their numbers

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Server connection might be rejected with error message 0x00020009 - we are looking for exact reproduction steps
  • The DMR might have glitched animations while shooting in prone - a fix is in internal testing
  • The sun and moon are not in all cases displayed as desired
  • When entering a false password, access to the server might be prevented until server restart
  • Cars can be pushed from far away or from the roof - a fix is in internal testing

GAME

FIXED

  • The sea chest did not have visible inventory space
  • Triggering a bear trap would prevent the character from using emotes and placing items
  • When attaching plugged-in Xmas lights to a tent, a ghost model of the lights would appear inside of the tent
  • Padded gloves could not be damaged while on the ground
  • Padded gloves would end on their side when thrown
  • Fixed instances of clipping of items with the padded gloves
  • The winter coif could slide indefinitely when thrown
  • It was possible to push cars from unreasonable distances and directions
  • Fixed instances of clipping of items with the Petushok hat
  • When entering a server password, the bottom left corner would show "Context toolbar" at the bottom right
  • Fixed individual animation glitches for the DMR
  • The DMR did not have the correct item health
  • Shadows under bright night setting were too dark

  • Tweaked the lighting config

CHERNARUS

  • Fixed minor clipping issues on the Vybor Air Base (NWAF)

LIVONIA

  • Fixed: Infected did not spawn loot

KNOWN ISSUES

Xbox Experimental 1.23 Update 3 - Version 1.23.156896 (Release on 26.10.2023)

GAME

FIXED

  • The DMR was missing dry fire sounds
  • The DMR was playing an incorrect unjamming sound
  • The DMR was playing an incorrect sound when chambering the first bullet after magazine reload
  • Items with on/off functionality could break when put in hands by holding F
  • The winter coif stop being rendered at too close of a distance
  • Textures of some concrete slabs were flickering
  • Vehicles would keep driving after their driver died
  • It was possible to stack individual items into each other indefinitely
  • Fixed instances of inventory desync resulting from actions happening at the edge of a player's network bubble
  • Some collisions in the new castle tower were problematic to navigate
  • Fixed an exploit that allowed to walk through walls (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T176156 - private)
  • A character could get stuck on ladders through certain actions
  • The tooltip for "save character" was fully capitalized

CHANGED

  • Changed Bashnaya basement furniture
  • Increased the initial muzzle velocity of the DMR
  • Gave a degree of chemical protection to the OKZK cap
  • Improved display of the horizon
  • Improved display of the sun halo

CENTRAL ECONOMY

  • Tweaked: Bashnaya barracks underground will now spawn medical loot
  • Tweaked: Reduced amount of Yellow NBC spawning in hospitals and fire stations
  • Tweaked: Reduced lifetime of contaminated loot + added restock values
  • Tweaked: Adjusted Chernarus and Enoch spawn points

CHERNARUS

  • Fixed: Individual environment issues at the Vybor Air Base (NWAF)
  • Removed:  Spawn points from inside the pond in East Chernogorsk

LIVONIA

  • Fixed: A police situation vehicle at Lukow was spawned on water

Please I beg "like every update" add, 1st Person Only Search Filter for community servers would be huge QoL addition for those who wish to play 1pp only, not all servers list 1pp or 1pp/3pp in title. Nothing worst then trying new servers to have to join and quit if not your desired perspective ughhh 😔

One of the known issues (if you read the release notes) is the 0x000200009 connect error... If that's what you're getting you're not alone, I've had same issue... Can't connect to ANY server on Experimental...

Tried everything to join a server.... uninstall...clear cache....nothing works 😔

I spammed the hell outta the join button on pc and finally got in on day 1 of exp release. tried last night 20+ times and couldn't get in at all, I just gave up.

Hi guys, we are sorry about the connection issue. It should be solved with the next EXP update. No date yet but it's our priority!

Is anyone else having trouble finding car radiators? Ive spent atleast 30 hrs looting on 1.23 exp and only found a single one at a train wreck. Please look into this

Everyone still unable to log into any EXP servers? Playing on xbox and no luck being able to. I just want to see the new sky! Haha

Was able to log last night after the 40th plus attempt. Love the new sky box and really enjoy the retextured NWAF. The ground on the SW side of the NWAF just north of the new medical hospital was very glitchy on my series x. Like it was having collisions causing it to stutter. Aside from that it felt and looked great. The stars are really something when running at night. Great work!

did they add sun rays into console now with the new skybox?

Please fix the log in failed bug and the large tents not being able to access items inside it while it has a camo net on it for Xbox please

I haven't raised a ticket. Try it at any Military watchtower - Livonia towers at Swarog and the eastern tower at Muratyn are very good examples to try. I bet you get kicked off trying to crawl down the stairs at speed.

Are you still saying a 'Map wipe' (presume server bases and character wipe) for LIVONIA? Is this due to the structures in the Bunker issue presumably and not the skybox.
