Can't open certain tinned foods

I'm relatively new to Dayz (only a few hours), there are certain tinned items I can't open. It says Right Trigger to open but nothing happens it's been Brisket, Tuna and Pâté, I can open other stuff like Salty Sticks, Cans of Pop, even Beans with a knife...

 

Can anyone offer some advice please?

tap R2 to open them, don't hold them.

You are very kind sir. We all start somewhere in dayz haha I'm sure I was having issues but with loading my magazines for weapons. 😅
