Noob question

Just found my firs sniper however when i right click to zoom in it doesnt do it down the scope :/ any ideas how to?

are you holding the zoom button (rmb) instead of clicking it maybe?

Like the previous poster said, just tap the right mousebutton to aim down the sight. That goes for all the weapons. Once in ironsight/scope mode, you can also hold down the right mouse button to zoom/hold your breath.

Another quick mention about the sniper rifles aswell; You can adjust the range with page up/down.

Also check if you have like flares or a grenade or other throwables selected as the weapon. It confused me once when I couldn't look through the scope even though I still had the rifle in hand.

Some sniper rifles also have a second zoom. You can pop into and out of that second zoom with the + and - keys on your numberpad.
