Pretty sure this could work. Would make for a more atmospheric and terrifying jog into a town.

For authenticity, keep it to the larger, more industrial towns (Cherno, Elektro, Berizino etc)

Using the original lamps for now, I'm not sure how hard it would be to turn them into a light source. It would be fairly easy to tie them into the day/night cycle though.
