DayZ global illumination (GI) and level of detail (LOD)

With much faster hardware since initial stable build, maybe these 2 things could be tackled:

  1. The lighting is generally nicely done, except for when in buildings, the interior looks way too bright. I'm not a game dev, but maybe something called global illumination would fix it.
  2. It would be nice if the level of detail (LOD) could be increased from n amount of shifts to always full detail models..takes me every time out of my immersion seeing things popping up or changing to different polygon models. It would also be nice if this was a client, instead of a server, setting.
