What was the point in putting this game in a new engine?

In 0.63 DayZ was ported to a new engine this led to lots of missing content from the previous version, guns, items and features mainly. But what was the point in that i understand that it allowed them to release it on console for a cash grab but the game is still full of bugs even bugs from the older versions, so what was the real thought behind it?

who knows.

but as far as i know, it`s not completely running with the new enfusion engine.

dayz is a hybrid. a homunculus. or no, wait:

 Dayz is frankenstones munster in hinsight of the used engine!
