Adding difficulty levels for servers.

Recommended Posts

Let's imagine that you want to create your own server, where you will need to choose several levels of complexity: The first one is "The beginning of infection" - there will be few zombies in this level of complexity, and there will be a lot of things found accordingly. It may be suitable for players who want to learn the basics of the game, but they can't handle it on regular servers. The second is "progressive infection" - There will be an average number of zombies and an average number of items. It may be suitable for fans of the classics that we have at the moment. And the third, perhaps the last, is the "Peak of infection". This difficulty may be suitable for some veterans of the game, or for those who have set themselves the goal of surviving as long as possible. The number of zombies will be huge, and there will be no loot at all. Here many game mechanics can be fully revealed, such as hunting, cooking and crafting. I apologize in advance if something similar has already been suggested. The idea was taken from another game with a similar theme.

The vanilla game in general doesn’t have nearly enough infected, hopefully with the infected re-working they plan for this year they amp-up the infected numbers.

Your request already exists, server admins can simply reduce the infected spawns in the xml files or increase them. Same for loot tables, server admins can increase, decrease or remove all together resources they don’t want to spawn.
