would never touch the lee way to loud, just get a decent secondary for defending yourself from players

400 meter range though, I managed to kill someone who was taking potshots at me from a hill northeast of elektro - I was in the school. Is a very useful starting weapon. Just make sure to use it INSIDE buildings, never outside near towns. You'll agro every zed in a huuuuge radius!

Depends. Do you want to play with a glitchy weapon that takes up half your inventory or do you want a 1-hit kill weapon?

Go with the Lee.

I have a M1991 as my secondary, i will only use the Lee against players, i am just sitting watching the Tree line by the Hospital in Cherno, there was a sniper there and he kept fainting so he needs blood and morphine, so i will hit him when he comes out with the Enfield

I dropped an M249 for a lee yesterday as I love the accuracy and its take down ability at range. The composite bow for me isn't worth it I've found a lot of them and I would feel under gunned if I ever had to defend myself against another human

Yeah, I'd go with the Enfield if I had to choose. Just be careful about using it. As others have said, it is LOUD. Still, the ammo won't take up all your inventory like with the crossbow. Plus, the Enfield is good against other players.

The Leeroy Enfield is a great weapon for medium/long shots but it will alert every infected in a 500 meters radius.

The crossbow is great for zombie stealth kills but:

1. every shot requires one inventory slot

2. without the crosshair it is near to impossible to aim.

If you're careful with a lee it's not a bad choice at all. It has super long range for a non-sniper rifle so if you sneak up on towns and scope them out with binoculars from cover/hills etc, you'll easily be able to take out anyone you see. I actually prefer the lee to some other more modern weapons, like ak's or any of the carbines, because it does such high damage and has super long range.

As was said, sidearm is for zombies anyway, but not having an option for long range vs other players can be a big disadvantage and lose you kills that you would've otherwise gotten.

The Lee would be my choice, one hit kills and plenty of ammo.

Crossbow is a terrible weapon and wont help you if aggroed

Go for the godlike enfield

Personally, I've found the crossbow to be by fair the superior option between the two, as you really only need 4 bolts tops. They can be recovered, and there's no better weapon for infiltrating towns. My current life has 201 zombie kills, all from the crossbow and my numerous incursions into multiple towns. Furthermore, the crossbow is wonderful at incapacitating bandits, without them ever knowing what hit them. It may not kill them, but it'll REALLY confuse and disorient them.

considering both are starting wepons I allways pick Crossbow and try to stay on 3 or 4 bolts. First few gamehours you avoid players and try to gear up anyway. Atleast I do. I usually walk arround with handgun and take out crossbow only when I got Zed to kill. when you get proper main hand wepon just leave your crossbow in the tent or just drop it.
