Camp/Campfire Perimeter Warning System (Cans+Rope)

Hello, Plazma here (previously called Guntychops).

I have an idea for something to be craftable in Dayz without the need for mods.
Remember in the wild west people used to attach empty tin cans to string and make a perimeter around their camp fires so they can hear people approaching at night?
Could a system be implimented where used cans after eaten can be saved (and maybe not taking more slots to collect them), so like 6 empty food cans in the same slot that can be crafted with a rope so an early warning tripwire style system can be put around trees/campfires etc?

It would help me a lot from being murdered from behind at night time when I am in a forest sitting by my fire.
So you can take it up again when you move on etc.

I think it would be awesome.
