Possibility to destroy,hide guns

Hi

Im on my way north and see a survival, I sneak up to him and think about if I should shoot or not.

I yell on the direct chat

-don't more , move and you die. Lay down……He follows because he don't want to die and start over. I will not shoot you, I could have already……

I don't want to kill him, just want to take what I need. I can make him drop hes guns on the ground before I intercept. But what happens after that. He can simply take hes guns directly after i leave and follow or shoot. What if it was possible to destroy stuff (hide stuff) placed on the ground????

How can I in a safe way disarm a treat instead of killing?

How about adding a electric teaser gun or somthing else knocking the player out for a certain of time?

That's... actually a good idea... A non-lethal gun that only knocks people unconscious!

Anything that knocks a player out will be abused as well.

Imagine you're running from a few zombies when suddenly a guy runs up and knocks you out. You're then dinner for the zeds as he walks away without a murder and comes back for your gear.

A disarm option would be best. You just grab their ammo, including ammo in the gun, or you disable their gun for a short time. (30 seconds? not really realistic though) It would be funny to have an option to ziptie their hands behind their back. That would still give them an option to run away from zombies and they could wiggle out after a while.

No matter what, it's like highway robbery. Seems somewhat fitting.

The thing about taser guns is that they're extremely short range. You have to almost be right up in their face for the wires to reach them. And if you miss, you're gonna have to wait til the gun recharges.

(Edit: If you want to be really realistic with taser guns, you have to reload it after each shot.)

So if you're already that close to the guy, its gonna be no different that taking out an M1911 and going for his legs anyway.

People would do it just for the lulz and to keep their murders at zero. (assuming that actually starts to matter again)

Its not likely that I will miss with my stun gun because i am not chasing a moving target, the target is controlled but not secured. example only possible to use on extreamly slow moving tagets, making it less likly to abuse

I think its a huge difference shooting a guy in the legs compared to stunning him. Again i do not want to kill him, shoot a person in the legs without morphine is almost same as killing. Even if your close to the hospital its still extremely difficult to survive

Think you should honestly be able to make hide holes, tents are a bit ridiculous, why would you store all your stuff in obvious stand up tents?

You can get a find shovel, start digging! Make a Hole, put guns in whole, Cover in leaves and brush, make note of location of your knew hole camp on map.

Done, tents should be given a different purpose, I think something to do with rest/spawns, like your character should get a new stat fatigue, and if you don't rest you'll grow similar effects of in pain etc.

I guess, like all things, if it's tweaked right with a very short range I don't see why it wouldn't work. The amount of time the player would be disabled would need to be short though. As long as they're rare, the knock out and range is short then I don't see why not.

Actually, pepper spray might be a good alternative as long as it's effects can't be turned off like the near death post processing effect. Blinding a target would be just as effective and still give players a chance to outrun zombies.

That's actually a pretty cool idea. Burying a stash of gear would be pretty slick. We'd still need a shovel to dig it back up but finding a treasure map (regular map with area marked) on a dead player would add a nice little.. quest to the game. Definitely a good alternative to tents. A small foldable shovel could fit in the toolbelt or backpack pretty easily.

nah not talking about full bury'n just making holes in the ground and covering them with foilage, wouldn't need to animated like that, just would show up as like a foilage patch on the ground, little mound if I may, that would be lootable, savable just like a tent, similar capacity.
