Killed by a Ghost - on my private server

So my brother and I were at the train station in Yephoropck last night, on my private server for Xbox that only he and I play on, and we were both what seemed to be shot, several times, and both died. We respawned and headed back to the same location and it happened again and again. This is my private server through Nitrado and only he and I are on it. I shut the server down and changed the server name and password, we logged back in and it happened again, same place. So either my server was hacked and someone was killing us, even though their info didn't show up in the 'online' list, or there is an update in the game that causes you to be shot from out of nowhere, or there is a ghost on my server. I modded out the contamination zones, so they are not an issue. Help, has anyone had this happen? Or does anyone have any insight on what this could be?
