Hobobian 0 Posted July 6, 2012 Somebody told me that the gear in Tents and vehicles will get reset when server reset happens. Is that true or false?
Macenzie 79 Posted July 6, 2012 False, our tents have been fine.Sometimes if you are unlucky and the tents do not save properly before a server crash you may loose the contents
U.B.C.S. Ravin 326 Posted July 6, 2012 False. Sometimes they will disappear, if they do simply re-restart the server. Should correct the issue.
Hobobian 0 Posted July 6, 2012 Ok thank you, Is this also for a vehicle?
Doug (DayZ) 0 Posted July 6, 2012 True, contents of tents will sometimes disappear. Usually after the first server restart after placing the tent(s). It's hit or miss.
syncmaster (DayZ) 63 Posted July 6, 2012 Which is safer, tents or cars?
Doug (DayZ) 0 Posted July 6, 2012 They are both pretty unsafe. Don't get attached to your gear, you will loose it.
U.B.C.S. Ravin 326 Posted July 6, 2012 What Doug said, don't get attached to gear. x3
syncmaster (DayZ) 63 Posted July 6, 2012 Of course not, never get attached to your gear. I just always wondered if one was better than the other. It still never hurts to increase your odds right.Edit: Also, I read that items in backpacks (in Vehicles) get deleted with every server restart. Maybe someone got confused? U.B.C.S. Ravin 326 Posted July 6, 2012 I would say tents are far more stable. Cars are far more liable in PVP, but make you a pretty big target for other bandits.Really, the choice is yours. I use both, make sure you always hit 'Save' before you log out or a server restarts. Youll lose whatever is inside the vehicle or tents.
